Join Pastor Nate for Christmas in July! This special class will invite us to explore the theological implications of the Christmas story and some of the fascinating details included in our Bibles.

Let’s join together on July 14 to welcome Pastor Gary and Karen upon their return from sabbatical. We will be celebrating with a potluck brunch. Please bring a breakfast casserole, fruit or sweet bread to share. We will enjoy fellowship and delicious food after the 9:00am service. Welcome Back Pastor Gary and Karen!

College bound students and their families:

Why consider a Lutheran college?? Lutheran universities aim to connect all those involved in their campus to create community. Smaller class sizes, like minded students and staff who serve as mentors help students grow in academics and faith. Scholarships are available for Lutheran college students through Bethany Foundation. Contact Jill at monsenjill@ gmail.com.

Summer cleaning?? If your household is getting new furniture or cleaning out supplies please consider giving the old furniture and supplies to Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains! They accept gently used furniture and are in need of cleaning supplies for newcomer apartments. Contact Jonah, Donor Relations Coordinator at 720-541-6834 or jonah.kucinski-stewart@lfsrm.org for a complete list of what they are currently accepting.

Whiz Kids offers one-to-one tutoring, positive mentoring relationships and spiritual nurture to students below the literacy and poverty lines. All of our Whiz Kids sites meet once a week for 1.5 hours throughout the months of October-April.  That time is broken up into an hour of tutoring and then a half hour of club time where a club leader shares a Bible message. This is an incredible opportunity to serve the community that you live in! We have 40 sites across the Denver area and have a site at your church, Bethany Lutheran that meets Mondays from 6:00pm-7:30pm. We are in need of tutors of any age (high school and above). Our site at Bethany Lutheran needs 9 new tutors for this upcoming school year. You can make a lasting impact by serving kids in your community through Whiz Kids!

A parent in our program said ” Whiz kids is absolutely amazing!! I have seen so much growth in my daughter in many ways, it’s crazy! Her tutor was a huge blessing to our family.”
